The Role:
Purpose:
The role will be to offer installation support to the Marine Ops Coordinator and the wider Marine Installation and Hook Up Team.
To act as a Marine Installation Support Engineer for the undernoted Marine Installation activities and to provide support for the Marine Installation activities to the Marine Operations Coordinator. The role will change emphasis through the Project lifecycle from preparation for arrival of the FPSO in Western Europe, marine readiness for sail to the field, wet tow, mooring line hook up and support through to being safely moored in the field.


Main Accountabilities:
* Will be actively involved in the selection of a suitable marine installation contractor
* Support the coordination / timely delivery, to the required safety and quality expectation of the Team, of the Marine Installation and Mooring Hook-Up activities associated with the FPSO post float-off through to being securely moored infield.
* Participate in the detailed development and review of the marine installation procedures and procurement in line with the requirements of the Project.
* Review and inspection of the existing mooring related equipment in advance of mobilisations
* Participate in the planning of the marine operations, attendance at Hazid / Hazops / HIRAs / Safety review,
* Project Technical support in relation to Marine Installation operations.
* Attendance at vessel mobilisations and subsequent infield operations as directed.
* Assume the Lead on project tasks and activities as delegated too by the Marine Ops Coordinator.
* Ensure all interfaces and 3rd parties associated with the marine installation activities (both internal and external) are managed as required to ensure timely project completion.
* Assist in the management and preparation of the activities required by the MI&HU Team in delivering the marine readiness of the FPSO at the holding location, tow to field and subsequent marine hook-up's through to first production.
* Preparation of and input to the MI&HU Teams Weekly and Monthly reports.
* Provide and demonstrate HSEQ Leadership.

* MI&HU Team members
* Key Vendors associated with main accountabilities
* External third parties as required

Qualifications & Experience:
* Technical Degree or similar
* Relevant experience within the Oil and Gas industry
* Relevant Maritime qualification and experience in marine tow and mooring hook-up operations.
* FPSO operations experience.
* Experience of Project Delivery Management
* Current Offshore Training and Medicals

Required Competencies:
* Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, an effective team player and demonstrate the required flexibility that the role will require.
* Must have good communication skills (both verbal and written)
* Must have a sound technical background and be willing to engage in areas outwith the direct technical experiences.
* Must have good organizational skills

Working Conditions:

* Based in Aberdeen with travel as required to Vendor sites.
* Attendance offshore during Marine Operations.
* Visits to FPSO offshore as required.
