The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
As the Marine Operations Manager LNG you will manage all Company LNG marine operations, including the Marine Superintendent’s safe, effective, and efficient LNG ship loading at the LNG jetty, Curtis Island, and Mainland cargo and passenger marine facilities once these facilities are turned-over to the Company.

The Marine Operations Manager is a member of the Company LNG Operations team and the Company Global Energy Marketing and Shipping (GEMS) representative in Australia, interfacing with the Project Marine Advisor and Marine Terminals Manager. You will also interface internally with the Company LNG Operations, and Global Energy Marketing and Shipping (GEMS), and externally with Gladstone Ports Corporation, local and national government agencies, other Gladstone LNG terminals, and other Gladstone Port users.

• Interface with internal and external stakeholders including the Company Global Energy Marketing and Shipping (GEMS), and government agencies to successfully implement the Company Group Marine, HSSE, and Environmental policies and standards.
• Develop and maintain relationships with other Gladstone LNG terminals and port users.
• Assist LNG Operations in delivering flawless start up of all marine related aspects of the operations phase and continuous smooth and safe marine operations of the terminal
• Interface with equipment manufacturers re specialist jetty equipment
• Joint operation and maintenance of mainland passenger and cargo facility with 2nd LNG Project Owner and supervision of the Company warehouse.
• Safe and efficient operation of the Company controlled passenger and cargo vessels during the plant operating phase.
• Interface with plant Commissioning Engineer and EPC Contractor to prepare the jetty for initial cargoes.
• Jointly develop, with the plant Operations Engineer and Marine Superintendent, emergency procedures and interface responsibilities for the LNG Carrier at the berth.

As the Marine Operations Manager (MOM) you will act as the representative of the Company Global Shipping in Australia and engage with Global Shipping on implementation of all international, Australian, and Company-Group marine standards and practices.

You will monitor and supervise the activities of the Marine Superintendent which include:
• Operation and maintenance of the LNG loading jetty
• Training and supervision of the LNG Cargo Loading Advisors / Terminal Representatives who may be onboard the LNG Carrier during loading operations.
• Monitor LNG Carrier compliance with the Terminal Regulations.
• Implementation of the marine incident response plan, oil spill response plan, and reporting to Company LNG, Group Global Shipping, and Maritime Safety Queensland.
• ISPS Security Officer for the MOF and deputy ISPS Security Officer for the LNG jetty.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Recognised tertiary qualification from a maritime college
• Awareness of LNG ship operations
• Australian Maritime Security card (MSIC)
• STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) certificates
• Demonstrable experience with ship loading and LNG cargo handling and operations
• Maritime experience holding a senior license such as Chief Mate, or Master together with relevant sailing experience as a senior officer on commercial vessels
• Familiarity with marine terminal operations and the ability to contribute to, and implement operating procedures
