The Company:
Our Client is a global Energy Leader with a strong commitment to Honest and Ethical Business Practices within the Oil and Gas Industry. Our Client operates as an independent energy company. It has four segments: Oil and Gas, Syncrude, Energy Marketing, and Chemicals. The Oil and Gas segment explores, develops, and produces crude oil, natural gas, and related products.

The Role:
Incumbent shall work within an onshore based Logistics Team and be Contract owner for the Companies Emergency Recovery and Rescue Vessel portfolio.

End to End Contract Management deliverables shall be a critical success factor in delivery of this high cost Safety Critical portfolio. The incumbent shall be responsible to ensure Legislative and Regulatory Performance standards are delivered by Company contracted vessel providers in order to support Offshore Installation PFEER and Company Performance Standards.

Safety - Conducts all activities in a safe and effective manner and raises safety and environmental issues immediately and in line with corporate policy

Leadership - Undertakes the role in line with corporate policy and demonstrates behaviours in line with the clients values at all times. Readily accepts accountability

Financial - Carries out duties in a way that maximises value and minimises waste and risk.

Technical/Functional

• As part of the Logistics team you may be required to support other tasks and duties to support other marine, shorebase or aviation related workloads and activities.
• Participation to support an on call Duty Rota to support any operational or emergency response on 1 week in 7 basis is required.

Duties as Contract Owner:-

• Providing technical Content for Contract Scope of Work to support tender process;
• Establishing contract objectives and deliverables, and setting KPI’s with contractor;
• Developing annual Contract spend budget and managing that budget accordingly;
• Maintain and deliver contractor relationship development;
• Ensuring Contract is effectively and efficiently utilised;
• Monitoring and managing the performance of your Contracts;
• Undertaking and leading relevant Contract feedback/performance review meetings e.g. FPAL’s and Business Performance Review meetings;
• Understand your assigned Contract agreements from a technical and commercial perspective;

Duties as Marine Specialist:-

• Deliver optimum technical & operational solutions to the business for Marine Supply and ERRV support
• Monitoring compliance with Company, industry and regulatory requirements by managing the following activities : -

o Independent Third Party Validation and Verification
o Vessel & Equipment Inspections
o CMID, OVID and ISM Audits
o Dynamic Positioning (DP) System Assurance
o Monitoring Ongoing Compliance
o Ensuring Master and Crew Briefings
o Incident Investigation
o Safety and Activity Statistics Analysis

Collaboration - Collaborates with others in the team and looks for opportunities to leverage their network and work with others to develop safe, practical and effective solutions

Continuous Improvement & Innovation - Continuously develops ways of working by seeking feedback from colleagues and key stakeholders. Complies with client project management disciplines, effectively utilises knowledge databases and actively participates in project reviews

Capability Development - Looks for opportunities to develop technical and personal skills both by formal learning interventions and work experience. Coaches team colleagues where appropriate and demonstrates a personal commitment to lifelong learning

People Processes - Engages with people processes in a positive and timely manner. Demonstrates a commitment to the spirit of such processes.

Performs other duties, completes additional tasks and supports ad hoc projects as required



QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:


The individual will have background in marine operations in the Oil & Gas industry. A Technical awareness of Vessels along with knowledge of Marine Guidelines and Legislation is required. Experience in the contracting of marine assets and managing contractors would be an advantage. An ability to manage budget spend against high activity is required


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:


• Industry experience of background in marine operations in the Oil & Gas industry. Knowledge of contracting marine assets and managing contractors would be an advantage, as well as experience of managing budgets.
• SAP skills for requisitioning and service entries.
• Ability to make decisions.
• Ability to narrate working practices and deliver UKMS/BMS procedures.
• An overall knowledge of UK Marine Legislative Regulations and Industry Guidelines.
• Ability to communicate with all Logistics operations and Contractors.
• Member of onshore Emergency Response rota
• Competency in use of Microsoft Software
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Good administrative skills
• Proven Team player.
