The Role:
Role Summary:
The Marine Supervisor & Assessor will manage day to day operations in the Marine Department, while acting as the marine discipline expert offshore. The post holder will also coach, train, develop and assess marine technicians / control room technicians to achieve competence and maximise development potential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coach, train, develop and assess marine technicians / control room technicians to achieve competence and maximise development potential
• Perform Area Authority role on FPSO for Marine Areas
• Responsible for cargo loading/offloading management
• Responsible for cargo and ballast tank management
• Responsible for ensuring hull integrity
• Recommend updates and improvements to Marine Operating Procedures and maintenance strategies
• Input into Marine TQ’s and MOCs
• Recommend marine plant optimization based on monitoring system performance
• Recommend investigation activities based on plant surveillance
• Perform RCFA and recommend appropriate actions
• Recommend content of Marine discipline competency profiles
• Recommend appropriate actions to Marine Superintendent on Marine technical issues
• Recommend changes to Marine Operating Procedures
• Manage day to day Control Room marine operations
• Stand in for Marine Superintendent as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience / Qualifications and Skills:
• Extensive knowledge of Safe Systems of Work including permit to work, maintenance management systems, planning and risk assessments
• Extensive knowledge of marine equipment, systems and procedures
• Experience in working with vendors and performance feedback
• Experience knowledge of Marine Systems and Shipping
• Extensive experience of Offshore Operations on a Floating, Production, Storage & Offloading installation (FPSO)
• Experience of working overseas in a multicultural environment
• Minimum STCW ’95 OOW Certificate of Competency, with a Dangerous Cargo Endorsement for Oil

• Preferably Chief Mate (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency, with a Dangerous Cargo Endorsement for Oil or
• OOW (Unlimted) Certificate of Competency, with a Dangerous Cargo Endorsement for Oil and previous offshore experience
