The Company:
An international EPC Company involved in LNG and Mining Projects.

The Role:
The Marine Supervisor reports to the Gorgon Downstream Development BWI Marine Construction Jetty Superintendent and is responsible for the day to day supervision of field construction activities being carried out by the EPC contractor as directed.

Specific duties and responsibilities include;
• Ensuring that marine construction activities being carried out by the EPC contractor, including but not limited to; mooring, anchoring, caisson float off, ballast column installation and removal, sea bed preparation, caisson infill, and scour protection, to conform with approved plans, procedures and processes.
• Monitoring of marine construction activities and inspection of completed work to ensure compliance with best industry practice, relevant codes and specifications.
• Ensuring that marine construction activities are carried safely with particular emphasis on implementation of the IIF culture and environmental compliance.
• Ensuring compliance with quality in construction requirements.
• Provision of early warning of potential issues or concerns with respect to marine construction activities within discipline.
• Maintaining clear, timely and appropriate day to day communication with contractor interfaces and KJVG line supervision, including transition meetings for day shift and night shift as well as rotational transitions.
• Provision of daily records/reporting as required.
• Active participation in safety process including LPI, TSTA, toolbox safety meetings, JHA Reviews, and Pre-Construction Meetings.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential skills and qualifications include;
• Relevant trade qualifications; Marine Focus
• Minimum 10 years experience at supervisory level working on large marine infrastructure projects to include knowledge of anchoring & mooring, understanding of the correct vessel utilisation & proper equipment maintenance & utilisation.
• Demonstrated organisational & analytical skills.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated man management/leadership skills.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Desirable skills & qualifications include;
• Demonstrated problem solving capability, (discipline focus).
• Safety and incident investigation training.
• Previous experience with jetty and marine structures construction, barge operation, heavy lift and diving operations.
