The Role:
Job Purpose:

This role will be a core part of the integrated the Operations Readiness and Assurance (OR&A) team to provide a focal point for the development and implementation of FPSO Off-take Operations standards, processes and procedures.
To prepare the project facilities for Off-Take Operations and contribute to the development of an Off-Take Team including the development of Local Personnel to a Competent Mooring Master Standard.
To manage Operations input into a strategically important offshore project and achieve recognition for Company as capable production company to stakeholders.
Contribute to the major offshore production growth in Ghana and to demonstrate to the Government ’s ability to deliver important projects over the coming years.

Responsibilities / Key Objectives:

The following are the anticipated key roles and responsibilities of the OR&A Engineer – Marine Supt/Mooring Master.
Promote EHS and Quality standards and requirements through all stages of the work and demonstrate visible commitment to achieve excellent EHS performance.
To ensure the project Operations Philosophy is maintained and continually challenged. To work with the O&M provider to develop Operational Standards and Processes and ensure they are systematically applied as per contract strategy.
To ensure that the operational plans are realistic and reflect the Ghana Operating environment, are consistent with company EHS policies whilst maximising the efficiency with optimised OPEX and CAPEX expenditure.
To ensure the OR&A Process is applied during the Project phases to achieve the required level of operations readiness within the Project phase for start-up/ongoing and Off-Take Operations.
Work across multiple locations (Singapore – UK - Ghana locations) to ensure continuity and interfaces are managed
Provide input into the development of the Terminal Manual and COLA agreement.
Participate in the setting up of a project Operations Management system for Off-Take Operations with interfaces to company EHS, Oil lifting Marine, logistic and other operations support activities.
Set up official reporting relationships with expertise holders in company particularly in the Risk and Marketing organisation based in London.
Prepare for, participate in and participate in the handover of the commissioned facilities from the project team.
Training and mentoring of national personnel and developing skills over the long term.
To develop a hands on working exposure program for the new local Ghana staff, in order for them to acquire the necessary skills, experience and competencies to execute Off-Take Operations in the position of Mooring Master and Assistant Mooring Master.
Ensure operating envelopes for Off-take equipment and associated controls are in place to ensure that the operating points are maintained within these defined envelopes
Subsequent to operations preparedness phase become a key member of the Off-Take Team, Operations Management and supervision team in-country for continued production operations.
To ensure smooth transition of a major new field and FPSO into a sustainable production phase within an established Operating Organisation.
To manage Operations input into a strategically important offshore project. Contribute to the major offshore production growth in Ghana and to demonstrate to the Government the group’s ability to deliver important projects over the coming years.
To help achieve recognition for company as capable production company to joint venture partners

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Extensive and recent related experience within the international offshore oil & gas industry
Previous experience as a Mooring Master with an Oil and Gas Company undertaking similar operations, in similar environmental conditions.
Senior Pilot having sole conduct of manoeuvring VLCC or equivalent size vessels, with associated with tug control and movement.
Possess proven FPSO Operations & Marine experience
Ability to travel internationally and to offshore locations if required
Computer literate and effective with “Office” software suite
Management and interpersonal skills in order to interact with and coordinate the activities of Government of Ghana Agents, Tanker Masters, O&M Contractor and own multi-discipline team
Excellent verbal, written and listening skills
Professional approach to work at all times with a high level of team working skills.
Knowledge of EHS management systems and application of EHS working practices to a high standard.
