The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
The job holder is responsible for:

• Coordinate vessel inspection program for L & I contracted marine fleet.
• Monitor and review 3rd party marine inspections and audits for vessels employed by L & I
• Act as lead auditor/inspector for marine audits and inspections
• Monitor technical performance and reliability of L & I Contracted vessels
• Liaise with the L & I Team Leader, The client Marine Authority and HSE department in respect of
all inspection and audit outcomes.
• Maintain a corrective action register for all marine related audits and inspections and following up on same.
• Maintain the vessel inspection and audit pro-forma in line with current industry, Flag State
Class and Contractual requirements to ensure that the audits and inspections target all necessary areas.
These audits/inspections shall ensure that all vessels contracted company with Flag State, International Law, Class and Contractual requirements at all times and that the vessels are being operated to industry best standards of safe working practice.
• Liaise with contracted ship owners and operators on marine/technical matters
• The Assurance process and recommendation of acceptance of any vessels prior to their utilization
• Participate in preparation of technical evaluations for vessels for delivering scope of work.
• Participate in defining functional requirements and technical specification for new tonnage and/or for modification of existing vessels.
• Carry out marine/accident investigations when required
• Providing marine advise/guidance to HSE as it pertains to marine operations and participate in HAZIDS, HAZOPS and Risk Assessments
• Assist in maintenance of Logistics and Infrastructure Risk Register and Competence Matrix.
• Maintain department marine library and other technical documentation as applicable.
• Assist in the drafting of and updating of the Marine Team Manuals and Procedures.
• Provide marine advise and guidance to the Logistics and Infrastructure Marine Team

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Master Mariner with command experience. Marine Management experience with minimum many number of years in the oil and gas industry. Marine/Lead auditor

Marine background with good understanding of marine inspection program as performed by IMCA, OCIMF and Flag State.
Good knowledge of International marine regulatory and statutory requirements

Experience in Marine Asset Administration together with experience as Marine Superintendent, and marine audits and inspection process.

Excellent communications skills:

• Able to structure and write concise and well reasoned technical reports, documents, instructions and procedures
• Fluent in English.
