The Role:
The role of Marine Transition Manager/Coach will be based in Baku, Azerbaijan on a residential basis and the purpose of this role is to Lead oversight of a transition of marine assets and contractors, the candidate shall provide specialist marine assurance and operational advise to Logisitcs and S&OR that ensures requirements are delivered for safe, reliable and compliant operations.
The transition manager is to coach and help contractor to close the gaps and coach will also provide mentoring, coaching and training to marine contractors, marine team and key stakeholders
1. Assist with managing the Interface with the key marine contractor
2. Oversee the owner assessment closure plan and verification
3. Provide oversight during the transition of 2 AHTS vessels, including the crew, technical and operational management
4. Ensure that the transition of the 2 AHTS is conducted in a formal documented manner in accordance with industry rules & regulations and Group Marine requirements, without any interruption in business continuity
5. Ensure that the marine contractor has an effective crew competency, training and familiarisation process in place
6. Ensure that the marine contractor has in place an effective process in place for Inspections, findings and closures
7. Provide oversight during upgrade works of 2 AHTS to ensure operational readiness
8. Effective interface between contractor and operator for flotel operations with the right processes and practices in place
9. Manage the marine operational transition that is a core relation to the new fleet renewal project
10. Identify and report operational risk

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Degree in Marine Operations OR Senior Marine qualification/certification
•Significant experience in an area of marine operations which specifically support oil & gas exploration, development or production
•Auditor experience - ISM,
•Owner Assessment
•Knowledge of IMCA/CMID and OCIMF/OVID processes and procedures
•Experience in auditing and assessments of marine operations and contractors
•Knowledge of risk assessment techniques
•Minimum 5 years marine management experience, including marine operational experience or equivalent, commensurate with demonstrable technical and leadership competence to an expert level
•Strong track record of HSSE leadership
