The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
The opportunity has arisen as a result of continued busy schedule of events throughout the year for internal and external technology based events and exhibitions. Candidates will be expected to liaise across the company and externally to co-ordinate the annual events calendar. Interpersonal skills will be important in providing on-site support at events. Ability to build strong internal and external links with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes. As significant part of the role will also be the creation of marketing communications plans through to the implementation via creation of press releases, brochures, case studies and other literature.

Events Coordination

• Organising a variety of events, meetings and conferences throughout the UK
• Venue searching. Liaising with venues, external suppliers, speakers and internally to ensure high quality event outcome
• Managing costs and event budgets
• Delegate management
• Providing onsite support when necessary
• Assisting with the set up and maintenance of all project documentation files and records
• Organising and coordinating invite lists, travel and accommodation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills will be needed.
• Event follow up – Conduct review of each event in search of continuous improvement

Marketing

You will also be supporting the Marketing Manager with marketing campaigns. This will include press release tracking/monitoring, external PR relationships, assisting in producing marketing literature, and supporting the Marketing Manager with a variety of projects

• Monitor effectiveness of campaigns. Report, review and amend as appropriate
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills will be needed.
• Work closely with other internal marketing colleagues in group companies and external marketing agencies to deliver successful marketing campaigns

Assisting the Marketing Manager with administration and other day to day activities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Event Administration, Event Logistics, Event Project Management
• Significant experience in coordination of customer events
• Relevant marketing / event management qualification or marketing / event management experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Energy Industry & B2B background or relevant industry experience
