The Company:
Our Client is the largest LNG producing company in the world, with an annual LNG production capacity of 42 million tonnes per annum (MTA), safely and reliably delivering LNG to customers around the globe from world-class facilities in Qatar.

The Role:
The Master Data Architect (MDA) leads the technical teams both from the solution provider companies as well as internal groups to create the overall data flow architecture to ensure the proper design and implementation of the master data repository as well as relevant systems for E&P data and documentation. The MDA acts as a technical advisor to the Project Manager and Business Lead of the PETCOM (Petroleum Computing) project and plays a critical role to translate the business requirements into the technical specifications and ensure the successful delivery of them.
• Lead and oversee the technical teams to design and implement the solution and framework for the project.
• Act as a primary advocate for Master Data concepts and governance
• Work with business-led data management team to implement a long-range roadmap of data management solutions, including data quality initiatives to ensure sustainability of the project.
• Provide technical advice to the Project Business Lead and Project Manager to ensure the full execution of the requirements.
• Establish, enhance and communicate technical guidelines and best practices for project development team
• Provide guidance to solution provider project team to ensure its adherence to Company’s policy, standards and processes
• Lead design reviews & oversee code reviews to ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications and quality guidelines
• Review and provide feedback to the final user documentation
• Keep current with industry technologies and tools in E&P MDM(Master Data Management) domain and determines applicability of emerging technologies/trends to our environment
• Assist Project Manager in preparing communications, reporting, project updates to management team especially on the technical aspects.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Strong oil&gas business and/or technical background in the areas of Master Data Management, Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Integration (ETL) and Data Security
• Deep knowledge on full life-cycle E&P data and records management processes
• Expert and hands-on knowledge of one or more MDM industry products such as PPDM data model and standards
• Deep knowledge of Oracle database, its data models, especially as related to supporting Master Data items
• Ability to lead a team of technical consultants to deliver the project on time with high quality
• Proven track record of implementing successful MDM initiatives
• Experienced with implementation methodologies and best practices (e.g. waterfall, agile, other)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience in Change Management, Release Management and Source Code control practices
• Experience with data modeling, including evolution from conceptual to physical models using a tool

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience
• Eight to ten years’ experience working in oil&gas companies supporting data management initiatives or GGRE applications
• Four to six years of hands-on functional and technical experience on MDM industry solutions
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and diversified workforce.
