The Role:
Purpose:

•The post holder will coordinate and control staged materials and equipment held in various storage locations in the UK and will be the focal point and coordinator of all inventory movements in support of these materials.

Accountabilities and End Results:

•Act as a focal point for all materials on hold against a project or work order ensuring that the Material Management Process is adhered to.
•Act as a focal point for all returning material from offshore or vendor sites to ensure that it correctly dealt with either through disposal or being brought back into inventory.
•Act as a focal point for the disposal of surplus materials.
•Responsible for co-ordinating the review of departmental material health check reports.
•Responsible for maintaining new Material Master Requests.

Primary Functions:

•Act as focal point and controller for all inventory movements within their designated area.
•Identify items for disposal, organise and facilitate the disposal process in accordance with published Investment Recovery process.
•Carry out the scheduled warehouse visits to perform mock audits and annual stock checks.
•Liaise with vendors Materials Management staff to ensure services are provided to company control standards and in accordance with company policies.
•Work with Materials Controller to identify and resolve any non compliance with corporate policy and procedures, including excess stock and related material optimization activities.
•Notifying QA if any materials require QA inspection.
•Ensuring that materials are clearly labelled and located.
•Comply with all relevant procedures.
•Analyse results of Control and Compliance reports, taking necessary actions.
•Guarantee material availability through the use of SAP Materials Requirement Planning.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The incumbent should have good knowledge of SAP in MM and preferably also the RLM module. They should have an attention to detail both in data entry and the ability to conform to procedures.

Good organisational skills, ability to prioritise work and consistently meet deadlines are required. The role offers a wide variety of tasks and operational pressures and the incumbent must be organised, flexible and resilient to deal with multiple requests for support and prioritise appropriately.

Excellent communication skills are required (both oral and written) as the role requires regular communication with colleagues within the function and in other functions.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Although it is not critical to have an existing Basic Offshore Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) certificate, a willingness to train for occasional offshore visits would be advantageous.
