The Company:
Our Client operator of the Terra Nova Project, invites interested parties to submit a Quotation for the position of Material Controller. The expected duration for this position is approximately eighteen (18) months, with an estimated start date of May 1/12 (subject to change at the discretion of the client).

The Role:
Reporting to the Team Leader, Materials & Procurement, the Materials Controller is responsible for controlling the supply of material required to support Terra Nova maintenance and operations and, controlling the activities of the onshore warehouse service provider.



• Ensure all material requirements are met through the interface of partner work management processes.
• Support material stock replenishment with an emphasis on campaign and turnaround activities.
• Ensure day to day urgent material requirements are prioritised and met.
• Materials master data creation and maintenance.
• Planning and preparation of materials for shipment.
• Interface with Warehouse Service Provider to understand their processes including, receipt, goods receipt quality inspection, picking for shipment, containerization and manifesting and stock checking.
• Backload repair / refurbishment of materials and equipment with an emphasis on timely, cost effective turnaround.
• Promote and encourage stock reduction strategies with an understanding of asset disposal procedures.
• Continuously influence the safety and environmental responsibility of all contractors and vendors

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years related industry experience in the offshore oil and gas industry with at least 3 years experience in supply chain activities.
• Business, engineering degree or similar post-secondary education / qualification.
• Minimum 3 years experience in use of computerized systems controlling business processes, e.g. materials management, purchasing or maintenance. SAP experience would be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of materials and equipment commonly related to the oil and gas industry would be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of environmental, health and safety processes and programs.
• Knowledge of QA /QC practices.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
• Strong communication skills (written, oral and computer)
• Results driven.
