The Role:
• Provide leadership and reinforces/promotes safety & loss prevention to staff and contractors.
• Manage all activities associated with the day to day operations, movement of materials following purchase from suppliers until receipted at Chevron shore base, expediting of orders, and coordination with shore base personnel for onward shipment to end users.
• Ensure a high level of communications with internal customers onshore and offshore to align material movement activities with customer expectations..
• Ensure activities comply with all relevant legal, regulatory and corporate requirements associated with air, sea or road transportation of materials including receipt of relevant certification from suppliers, customs clearance and shipping documentation.
• Develop and agrees performance metrics with internal customers and SCM, monitors and acts on results. Monitors operational activity to ensure internal customer satisfaction. Develops annual objectives which capture Supply Chain Management (SCM) and customer objectives.
• Maintain appropriate processes and controls to ensure that activities are performed effectively and efficiently and fosters process improvement
• Work with suppliers and freight forwarding companies to ensure they understand Chevron requirements and processes contract compliance, and relevant procedures. Meet with all freight forwarding companies on a regular basis to discuss performance, deficiencies and any issues.
• Be responsible for preparing and managing the operating budget for all material movement activities.
• Provides general supervision and direction to subordinates in carrying out their activities in the most effective and efficient manner in order to support the company’s operations.
• Assess and provides appropriate training and development for staff. Coaches, mentors and develops staff and provides work assignments that challenge the employees.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related field, Masters preferred.
• At least 5 years experience with materials/purchase order expediting, inbound logistics, freight forwarding and import/export/customs clearance processes
• At least 5 years supervisory experience
• Strong communication skills both written & spoken in English and Thai are required.
• Superior skills with MS Word and Excel and familiar with internet and computer applications are essential.
