The Company:
Our Client is the largest LNG producing company in the world, with an annual LNG production capacity of 42 million tonnes per annum (MTA), safely and reliably delivering LNG to customers around the globe from world-class facilities in Qatar.

The Role:
1. Basic Function and Scope:
Tactical planning and execution of production control processes in support of MRP, and inventory stocking parameters to plan materials and ordered for specific production plant, The role will monitor and track top running items to allow forecasting ensuring system models are maintained using business intelligence and forecast information gathered from SAP system and other sources i.e. customer and supplier data.

The role will form an integral part of a dedicated production plant team, Gathering and sharing appropriate information and ensuring targets are met and procedures are followed at all times. Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment is essential, supporting the stock control and Procurement team to ensure this function can continuously improve, add value to the organisation and work alongside the different disciplines within the company to achieve results.

2. Tasks and Duties:
• Optimize inventory investments and meet production requirements, Analyse data to ensure safety stock target are set correctly and ad hoc analyses can be completed to support the business.
• Participate in the review of inventory levels and warehouse capacity, initiate and coordinate necessary product movements to prevent out of stocks and out of date issues as well as overstock/warehouse capacity issues
• Track and analyse demand patterns, current inventory, lead times and plan replenishment cycles to determine the need for forecast modification
• Creates replenishment loads/orders that are optimized to minimize logistical costs.
• Optimize inventory and drive resolution for Slow and Non Moving inventory
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory investment through inventory entitlement model by ensures accuracy of signals for the timely ordering and delivery of components to support plant operation activities.
• Build and utilize reporting, forecasting, and database tools to improve productivity and decision making
• Proactively reports product and material availability issues.
• Responsible for key performance indicators such as unit fill rate, on time in full, and inventory levels.
• Controls the areas for significant increase / decrease of stock holding in line with the Companies Operating and Maintenance philosophies.
• Execute with excellence in the area of stock and demand replenishment providing feedback to the supply chain on risks regarding replenishment levels and demand.
• Partners with external departments including Operation, Maintenance Forecasting, Procurement, Warehousing and Quality to resolve issues impacting areas of responsibility.
• Keeps abreast of latest international developments in MRP systems data as the primary planning system tool.
• Analyze MRP parameter and requirements to ensure accuracy and integrity; determine safety stock and future needs; maintain data integrity of MRP planning system.
• Review historical data including demand trends, research demand drivers, material on time delivery, commodity spends within dedicated production plant. Coordinate research data to identify significant variances. Share, communicate and report on variances to both internal and external supply chain.
• Provide input in developing departmental strategies for inventory on existing items, new product introduction and phase outs.
• Carries out other similar or related duties such as performing special tasks as assigned by the Stock control supervisor and Head of warehouse on analytical problem solving assignments and making appropriate recommendations, improving the format or content of various management reports in the light of changing requirements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
a. A focused degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Math, or Logistics is preferred.
b. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in in Supply Chain including demand forecasting, distribution, warehouse and procurement is required in varied industries with recent work experience in the oil/gas Energy Industry.
c. Prior exposure to Companywide management system improvement programs and e-business programs.
d. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills.
e. High standard of both written & spoken English, good mathematical acumen and effective communication skills
f. Good Coaching, Facilitation skills and clear vision.
g. Experience with implementation of MRP or other planning system a plus.
