The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Managing day to day Solihull line feed operations and Off-Site Logistics facilities over 24 hour operations. Lead MP&L interface into LLP, responsible for ensuring the seemless delivery of a world class lean organisation and flow of material into Solihull to ensure production plans are achieved. Operational responsibilty for a multimillion pound contract for MP&L material movements into Solihull, overseeing in excess of 1500 direct and 3rd party reports. 40 hours min, expected to work necessary hours to meet the job requirement

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Strong knowledge in Production Operations and/or Supply Chain & Project Management Activities Experience of managing Lead Logistic Providers and launching new logistics facilities & operations Deep understanding of Automotive or Manufacturing Industry Deep fundamental understanding of total company Logistics processes & project control disciplines with Quality process mind set. A keen understanding of key business drivers is important Proven people management, strong leadership and decision making abilities including trade union working relations Proven track record of delivering result in a hugely complex environment

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Flexible - highly productive, minimal supervision, proactive, must meet deadlines in high pressure environment Deep fundamental understanding of total company Logistics processes & project control disciplines with Quality process mind set. A keen understanding of key business drivers is important. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to present complex information to all levels.
