The Role:
Working on a residential basis in Dubai, duties will include:

Development of specifications for designing of process equipment taking into account particularities of engineering processes, chemical composition of fluids and environmental conditions of the fields.
Development of corporate technical standards in order to create a uniform code of requirements and to achieve maximal unification of engineering approaches and methods in designing process equipment and pipelines at all Company's projects.
Provision of technical support and consultation services for assets' design teams to select materials required to manufacture process equipment and pipelines.
Execution of detailed assessment of studies performed by the design contractors regarding the way the process fluids and environments existing in the field influence the materials used to manufacture equipment and metal structures.
Review and approval of material selection concepts and matrices prepared by the contractor on the basis of the studies.
Review and approval of cost estimates of different options of material selection.
Execution of independent evaluation calculations of corrosion rates, corrosion profiles and materials degradation using commonly-known industry methods and practices (ASTM G102-89, DNV-RP-B101).
Evaluation of surface coating systems proposed by the designer (paintwork materials, polymer materials, galvanization, spraying, padding) and preparation of conclusions regarding feasibility and economic efficiency of the proposed solutions.
Elaboration of methodologies and procedures to track and reduce the corrosion/erosion rates in the pipelines and process equipment in accordance with leading international practices and requirements of the industrial standards (ASTM G96-90, ASTM G189-07, SNiP 2.03.11-85).

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Knowledge of materials manufacturing technology, their chemical and thermal processing, quality control and their behavior in various media.
•Knowledge of ASME V procedure and Russian analogues of applying non-destructive methods for material testing (UT, RT, DP, MP etc.).
•Knowledge of ASME IX standard for welding and ASME V standard for inspection of materials and welding joints.
•Experience in designing equipment for aggressive and sour environments (high content of hydrogen) following NACE MR 0175 requirements.
•Knowledge and wide application of Risk Based Inspection (RBI) principles and methods according to API581.
