The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
As our client develops the Social Infrastructure portfolio of works they now require the services of a Materials & Logistics Manager to lead with various logistical matters (fuel, power, yard storage, lay down areas, warehousing, spares storage etc.) on site in Onslow and in relation to the delivery of procured items from overseas (e.g. pipeline).

The role will support the materials and logistics requirements for the DOMGAS pipeline Project and other Infrastructure Contracts as required. The expectation is that the position holder will utilise their existing knowledge of the Western Australia logistics market/Asia Pacific region combined with a capability to tap into the ‘lessons learned’ from the Gorgon Project and utilise the knowledgebase and capability of ABU logistics and materials management. Perth based with travel to Onslow and overseas as required to support logistics needs.

Just some of the duties will include:

- Direct logistics activities on single or multiple concurrent project assignments
- Utilizes experience and business acumen to influence EPC contractors and the supplier community to accomplish the desired results
- Leads and/or contributes to the development of materials management/logistics strategies, plans, procedures, and risk allocation, compensation structure and national content plans
- Aligns materials management/logistics strategies with Project, Corporate and Business Unit objectives
- Actively participates in project CPDEP phases 2 thru 4 to maximize commercial opportunities
- Follow CPP CPDEP roadmap for consistent service delivery
- Provides project-to-operations materials management transition planning and advice; manages materials management/logistics portion of the Project Execution Plan, proposal evaluations, contract reviews, negotiation strategies, site materials management, and sub-supplier/sub-contractor oversight
- Manages Preferred Suppliers to ensure compliance, improvements, modifications and performance feedback
- Establishes cost savings targets and reports results
- Develops negotiation strategies with input from internal customers; acts as key commercial expert during negotiations with and as contact for major suppliers
- Establishes and monitors processes to ensure audit compliance in functional area
- Proactively share knowledge and lessons learned within this organization
- Support and/or represent the function as requested by CPP Coordinators

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this position you will have the following:

- 10+ Years actual Oil & Gas Major Capital Project Experience
- Prior experience administering large EPC/EPCI/EPCM contracts in an MCP in a materials management leadership position
- Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of materials management/logistics plans and procedures for large domestic U.S. and/or international capital projects
- Demonstrated experience in implementing supply chain management work processes covering procurement, material expediting, transportation & delivery, warehousing, and preservation activities for large, complex Major Capital Projects
- Procurement experience with both critical equipment and field procurement required
- Managerial experience of working with procurement, contracts & logistics advisors and project professionals - demonstrated ability to build organizational capability and work cooperatively

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
BS Degree Preferred. Logistics qualifications well regarded.
Good communicator at all levels, strong organisational capability, team player, computer literate with Microsoft suite of products
Good practical knowledge of all aspects of logistics management, and in particular the life cycle of capital equipment procurement

The position duration for this role is 12 months, you will be located in Perth (with travel to Onslow and overseas as required) working 9 hour days/9 day fortnight (Compressed working week).
