The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
An opportunity has become available for a Materials & Logistics Coordinator to join our client's Supply Base Operations team. The Supply Base Operations are responsible for the preparation of freight for transport, quarantine preparation, material handling, local transport, material preparation and load preparation.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the Operational activities, including the chain of responsibility and supervision of contractors in daily execution of all operational tasks. Other operational activities include:

• Planning and coordinating the Quarantine Inspections within the Company area of operations
• Planning and giving oversight of Quarantine remediation activities related to all freight and containers/assets within the Company area of operations
• Compiling and submission of QCR (Quarantine Concession Requests), ensuring compliance as detailed under the QMS (Quarantine Management System)
• Provide advice /support on quarantine requirements and standards.

You’ll also be responsible for providing safe, reliable and efficient supply base and material movement services to the client’s Drilling campaign. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Proactively participating in the planning and engagement of Supply Base service providers to ensure the most economical, efficient and safe processes are in place to meet the delivery and receipt of Supply Chain customers requirements
• Giving oversight of Supply Base personnel in performing various Supply Chain activities / functions in support of our client’s Drilling campaign
• Managing freight movements within Company area of operations and between local vendors
• Ensuring all manifests and associated documentation is completed before freight is moved, including all Dangerous Goods and quarantine requirements.
• Coordinating and monitoring of daily operations of supply base contractors and providing daily verification of work sheets, yard dockets & driver run sheets
• Acting as a Logistics POC (Point of Contact) for out of hours freight queries including hotshot transport and emergency air freight
• Coordinating and giving oversight of strict quarantine controls for all movements through the Company area of operations to ensure all freight meets the Company quarantine standards and where applicable remediated to the Company quarantine standards.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
In order to be considered for this role you will have the following:

• Minimum of 5 years similar role in O&G industry;
• Excellent and confident communication and organisational skills;
• Certification in the following Dangerous Good modules for Air, Sea & Road including the storage and handling of such commodities.

This long term contract position is based in Dampier working a 10 hour day, on a 8 day on / 6 day off roster.
