The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
The Umbilical, Risers and Flowline (URF) team requires a Materials & Welding Engineer to ensure the correct and complete materials and welding selection, compatibility and integrity scope across the URF package.

This is a Perth based role but will likely be required to travel both domestically and overseas

Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Technical authority, where delegated from URF Engineering & Fabrication Manager for all aspects of materials and welding.
• Participate in Design Review, HAZID / ENVID, Constructability Review workshops etc.
• Provide expertise in welding engineering and manage the flowline welding procedure qualification process.
• Resolve site queries related to materials and welding issues for flowline welding and subsea structure fabrication.
• Checking of contractor-supplied design documents for purchase of line pipe, valves, coatings and other permanent equipment.
• Resolve materials-related interface issues and technical queries.
• Support installation, pre-commissioning and operation activities.
• Witness on-site procurement, fabrication and testing to assure quality and integrity of items under procurement or construction.
• Anticipate, identify and assist to resolution of detailed technical issues for all material and welding related items in an efficient and cost effective manner.
• Define, monitor and manage work tasks with external consultants / contractors as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• This role would suit a tertiary qualified engineer with extensive experience in the Oil & Gas or Energy industries in a role which had a primary technical function requiring the provision of materials / metallurgy or welding engineering services..
• Previous experience working in a client team on EPCI/EPCM contracts with relevant internationally recognized design codes and standards will be highly regarded.
• This successful applicant will need to be highly motivated and be able to demonstrated outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• They will also need to be a team player who has the ability to work with different disciplines and cultures.
