The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
A new position has arisen for a Materials – Commercial Coordinator for Barrow Island on a 28/28 roster. In this role you will be responsible to support the base construction and commissioning start-up teams. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating all construction and commissioning start-up based material requisitions and coordination activities between commissioning and the contractor.

Other key responsibilities include:
• Actively monitor, expedite and proactively provide status information and reporting to site personnel regarding the status of their material requirements. Coordinate any changes in required on site date with relevant expediting and procurement personnel.
• Receive and convert requests for the procurement of materials and/or services to fully approved material requisitions that are ready for purchasing.
• Serve as liaison between site personnel and Perth based Procurement Team to resolve any technical queries related to the ordering and/or expediting process.
• Provide overflow Procurement (buying and expediting) services when Perth Based Procurement Team as needed (i.e. weekend coverage for emergency or highly urgent purchases).

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this position you will have an undergraduate Degree or equivalent work experience. Other key requirements include:
• 7+ Years’ experience as a Project Buyer, Field Buyer and/or Material Coordinator for a Major Capital Project. Experience with an Oil and Gas Major Capital Project is preferred.
• Microsoft Office Skills including intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel.
• Must have strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbally and in writing and be able to communicate effectively with peers as well as senior management.
• Must be a self-starter who enjoys working in a field environment. Must have a high energy level and ability to work under pressure.
• Problem solving and “out of the box” thinking in order to solve complex supply chain problems is crucial.
• Must be flexible and able to easily adjust to changes in a very dynamic work environment.
