The Role:
An exciting new project in Eastern Europe with a Major International Operator

The Material Controller is responsible for coordinating and managing company owned inventories of materials and equipment in support of drilling activity and production operations materials/equipment. These functions include both the financial and tangible aspects of inventory control.

This may also include supervision and monitoring over Company inventories typically held at third party facilities and storage yards. Financial functions primarily emphasize the proper recording and reporting of inventory in compliance with Company Accounting Policy, Joint Venture Agreements (when applicable)

The successful candidate will be effective in utilizing systems and processes, have strong materials expertise, work well in a collaborative work environment, able to work with limited supervision and possess exceptional administrative organizational and time management skills.

The position will be located in Poland.

Scope and Responsibilities

Overall
• Coordinate with personnel on location specific new purchases associated material that are charged direct or inventory including processing of Goods Receipt into SAP.

• Monitor and manage all aspects of company owned inventory while being held at third party facilities and/or storage yards. This includes, but is not limited to, processing of mill reject claims, maintaining a Preventative Maintenance Program, ordering repair work, disposition of surplus and obsolete inventories.

• Collaborate to maximize internal use/redeployment of surplus company owned inventories across Marathon business units.

• Record all activity related to receipt, issuance, transfer, storage, return, maintenance, sale, etc., of drilling inventory into SAP in compliance with Company Inventory Management and Accounting Procedures. Insure at all times that physical inventory is reconciled and in balance with Company’s SAP financial records including third party storage yards’ records as applicable.

• Coordinates control and compliance activities to ensure the integrity of inventory.

• Supervise and host any Company or JV Physical Inventory Count audits as required.

• Supports procurement group for consignment inventory programs, blanket orders, and stockless supply agreements.

Qualifications
General

• Familiarity with procurement processes, policies and procedures
• Strong Computer Skills, in particular with Microsoft Office based products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc).
• Knowledge of SAP MM module and reporting tools
• Strong background in materials control, especially drilling related goods.
