The Role:
•Report and review SAP inventory balances ensuring all items held in inventory are accurately recorded in terms of quantities, condition and values.
•Record all Material Movements (Goods Issues, Receipts & Transfers) in SAP to ensure Inventory levels are maintained and accurate at all times.
•Ensure Procedure for Disposal Approval & Investment Recovery (UK-00044) is followed at all times.
•Ensure Procedure for Materials Management Requirements for Contracted Storage Providers (UK-00045) is followed at all times.
•Ensure Procedure for Materials Management Tagging Guidelines are followed to effectively tag company owned materials held at all 3rd party storage vendors and at the central warehouse.
•Act as Focal Point and Materials Controller for all materials movements within the Well Operations Group for all 3rd party approved vendors.
•Lead and conduct annual stock counts to ensure company Inventory SAP records are accurate.
•Liaise with vendors Materials Management staff to ensure services are provided to company control standards and in accordance with company policies.
•Visit approved 3rd party sites on a regular basis to ensure compliance and control.
•Ensure a satisfactory audit and compliance environment.
•Ensure imports and exports are processed in accordance with HMRC customs regulations.
•Identify and implement improvements required to existing processes and procedures within the Well Operations Group in order to help move the UK Materials Management function towards functional excellence.
•Carry out monthly checks to ensure company SAP Inventory and materials held at approved 3rd party sites are accurate.
•Resolve invoice queries as and when required for the Well Operations Group.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in the oil and gas industry and good knowledge of company operational practices, Joint Venture arrangements, SAP system, financial reporting and compliance environment. The ideal candidate may have a Materials / Procurement background but candidates with substantial Finance / Audit / JV experience will also be considered.

Good organisational skills, demonstrate ability to prioritise work and consistently meet deadlines are required. The role offers a wide variety of tasks and operational pressures and the incumbent must be organised, flexible and resilient to deal with multiple requests for support and prioritise appropriately.

Excellent communication skills are required (both oral and written) as the role requires regular communication with colleagues within the function and in other functions. Must be able to communicate clearly with senior management.
