The Role:
•Ensure the ESPCC Contractor is maintaining material and equipment inspection schedules to ensure coordination between the SGP site plan and expected delivery dates of materials and equipment.
•Provide assistance to the SGP Supply Chain Coordinator with actions required to maintain the flow of materials to the site and to other warehouses consistent with project requirements for Construction.
•Demonstrate personal commitment to the HSE Policy, Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company HSE standards, actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes.
•Assist the SGP Supply Chain Coordinator to ensure Compliance with the Project’s Safety objectives throughout the life of the project.
•Oversee the ESPCC Contractor to ascertain that it has established, maintained and operates a Material Control System to ensure that provision of an adequate and timely supply of material and equipment to meet Construction Schedule needs.
•Maintain good relationships with Contractors, being flexible enough but also strict when necessary to achieve the objectives of the Project.
•Liaise with Other disciplines, Safety, Cost, Planning and Administration sections to improve effectiveness of the overall Team.
•Keep the Site Logistics and Material Controller informed of all events which may affect the successful completion of the project goals.
•Monitor the materials control movements and storage of materials and equipment to and from the SGP site including Contractor and Company Items.
•Assist in the preparation and organisation of the Material Handover processes between all Parties involved.
•Monitor ESPCC Contractor’s Material Management & Preservation activities at the various Materials sites on Shetland
•Follow up ESPCC Contractor’s Preservation Reports with the SGP Supply Chain Coordinator.
•Contribute to the preparation of daily/weekly reports in connection with the project Materials Control activities.
•Interface with Contractor’s Supply Chain Department regarding shipments and customs control issues.
•Ensure the ESPCC Contractor provision of material receipts, handling, inventory control and distribution at site and maintain an auditable record of all material related transactions.
•Ensure the ESPCC Contractor carries out inspections of incoming materials to make sure they meet the quantity and material specifications of goods ordered and checks all items received, ensuring conformity to purchase orders.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Relevant project construction experience ideally gained in both an Operator and ESPCC Contractor
•Recognized level of expertise in construction discipline with a good knowledge of the company general specifications
•Significant experience in materials control and management
•Comprehensive knowledge of materials preservation and protection
•Good spoken and written English
•Computer literate in the use of MS Office suite plus Materials Databases
•Valid Medical Certificate which complies with Company Standards.
•Valid UK Driving Licence
•CSCS Card or equivalent Construction Site Safety Passport
