The Company:
An international EPC Company involved in LNG and Mining Projects.

The Role:
Responsible for providing a reliable and responsible material management service on assigned projects in accordance with projects strategies. Provide a technical leadership and direction required to ensure effective material management throughout all phases of the project.

Responsible for the prodcution of client and management status reports for materials and ensures the traceability for materials throughout all phases of the project.

Monitors and assists with the establishment of material receiving, storage and distribution of materials at projects sites. Ensures the provision of adequate local information processing materials and ensures the orderly transfer and update of projects data and information to site warehouses utilising the project intergrated and project management system (IPMS).

To ensure the timely production of all amterial control reports, checks the contents for completeness and accuracy. Issues all project material control reports for management and client. To monitor the project activities schedule and the performance of all parties against the schedule plan. To identify problems and initiate mitigating actions and act as a focal point for problems affecting the orderly acquisition, delivery and issue of project materials.

Identify problems impacting the overall effectiveness of materials management on the project and the formulation of remedial actions. Influence management and project decision making on key function issues.

Ideally the client is seeking someone with experience handling electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A high degree of computer literacy, a few years experience on large ECP projects with a significant part of this experince gained directly from materials management.
Demonstrable supervisory skills and a high degree of skill in communication with all levels of management and clients.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Degree level qualification or equivalent technical ability developed through practical experience gained in the appropriate discipline.
