The Company:
Our client is a leading EPCM company who specialise in providing asset support solutions across Australia and South East Asia including engineering, operations, maintenance and upgrades of existing facilities both onshore and offshore.

The Role:
Our Client is looking for a Materials Coordinator based in Darwin to ensure that all materials and equipment are arranged and then managed from the procurement stage to supply base delivery within the required time frames and dates.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

• Provide technical verification of materials allocated to work orders
• Facilitate the timely movement of materials from vendor to supply base and ensure all client & international shipping compliance documentation is met
• Coordinate the return of any goods, materials, tools & machinery onshore to appropriate recipients
• Responsible for the onward shipment of repair items to their appointed service providers
• Maintain a close liaison with the client Supply Base staff in order to ensure efficient use of resources and logistics
• Expedite spares, tooling and materials for emergency repairs situations
• Understand risks and hazards involved in tasks, and methods to manage the hazards in order to prevent incidents, injury and damage
• Updating of SAP work orders & materials/procurement related requirements
• Provide onshore support to the implementation office & field teams
• Ensure Customer quality requirements are adhered to and that company procedures are followed

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
In order to fulfil the role you must have the ability to demonstrate knowledge, capability and competence in the following aspects:

• In this role you will have a trade certificate in pipefitting, mechanical or boilermaking background and experience as a Materials Coordinator in Oil and Gas
• You should also have strong and proven interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of professionals and managers
• Exposure to SAP will be required to perform the role
