The Company:
Big oil company looking for Materials Coordinator

The Role:
The Materials Coordinator has the following responsibilities and/or is expected to complete the following tasks:
1. Maintain communications and interface with all Operations & Maintenance organizations;
2. Work closely with Lead Planner and technical advisors to develop necessary material requisitions for long term, complex work packages and shutdown activities;
3. Immediate interfaces with Operations, Procurement, Warehousing, Material Analysts, Logistics, contractors, vendors and expediting vendor on any stage of ordering material;
4. Process all new materials adds/requests to SAP R3 catalogue and Safety Stock change requests for all plants;
5. Optimize material standardization and consistency across all sites;
6. Ensure material integrity for critical parts including pressure materials like material for valves;
7. Ensures Operations Controlled Materials (OCM) process is updated and properly implemented;
8. Works closely with new project development to ensure material management and IPES is implemented consistently across all existing and new sites;
9. Makes trips to the field sites to complete assessments and work with site teams to ensure material requesting and management is meeting the Companies expectations;
10. Update BOMs with IPES numbers, create Assemblies as necessary;
11. Utilize SAP R3 for developing material requisitions for field site;
12. Delete duplicate materials from the system by pulling reports and along with every day working process;
13. Develop Material Demand Analysis report on weekly basis, based on Management decision for setting priorities of materials delivery to site. This will include checking the status of the Material/Purchase Order upon request;
14. Interface between Operations and Procurement for expediting materials;
15. Complete MOC actions as required for materials;
16. Interface with Production Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Construction departments in respect to material planning needs;
17. Assume responsibility for the efficient use of the International Production Enterprise System (IPES) computer-based maintenance and material order system;
18. Participates in the weekly Maintenance Leadership Team meeting and stewards the status delivery of expedited priority spare parts;
19. Participate in Safety Program initiatives and have a basic understanding of OIMS;
20. Other duties as required and determined by Department in accordance with applicable rules and regulations;
21. Ensure sound and effective business controls are in place to comply with all expectations of CIMS;
22. Financial approval authority as specified by Delegation of Authority Guide (DOAG);
23. Attend all mandatory Company training programs and seminars, including computer-based programs;
24. Perform assignments in a safe and diligent manner, follow labor safety rules, timely inform the supervisor about any incidents, injuries, near misses and potential hazards at his/her working place or at others’ working places if witnessed.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Diploma on higher education or equivalent experience in oil and gas production;
• Demonstrated leadership, team building, interpersonal, business management & facilitation skills that will allow consensus building and continuous performance improvement;
• Background in Materials and Logistics functions;
• Knowledge of oil and gas facilities;
• Knowledge of SAP R3 Integrated Business Management System especially the Materials Management / Procurement;
• Knowledge of Procurement business processes and policies as they relate to Material procuring, warehousing and management;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to work under pressure in an environment which expects the highest levels of customer services, confidentiality and ethical behavior;
• Ability to understand and react with diverse groups and operations;
• Strong computer & English skills;
• Ability to work with minimum Superv

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience in Oil & Gas Operations or Maintenance;
• Experience with SAP R3 Integrated Business Management System especially the Materials Management / Procurement.
