The Role:
1. Publicly adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, & Quality policies.
2. Review and check of procurement specifications for purchase of linepipe, valves, coatings, welding services and other production equipment.
3. Provide materials engineering expertise based upon knowledge of engineering materials, raw materials and manufacturing processes, the subsea, well and pipeline operating environment, installation and commissioning.
4. Assist project team personnel with review of sub-contractor procedures, clarifications and dispensation requests.
5. Witness on-site procurement, fabrication and testing to assure quality and integrity of items under construction.
6. Supporting other discrete packages of work as may be required on a time-to-time basis.
7. Apply Value Assurance Process standards to ensure packages are designed, procured and built to an acceptable standard.
8. Attendance may be required at onshore fabrication sites and offshore construction vessels.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Recognised degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline;
Experienced in subsea materials selection, in particular pipelines & structures.
Experienced in welding & NDT.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Fluent in English.
Self-organisational capability.
Able to challenge contractor designs & negotiate successfully to influence positive decisions.
