The Role:
•Act as Engineer in one or more projects as part of a discipline team with responsibility for delivering Materials input and documents as required.
•Create demonstrable value for customers by understanding their drivers and critical success factors.
•Maintain effective interfaces and relationships within/between disciplines, peers in other project teams and Customer Operating Units (OU’s).
•Execute technical work for Concept Select, FEED and Detailed Designs (philosophies, specifications, etc.) within designated Cost Time Resource (CTR) restraints.
•Ensure own discipline engineering and design work is successfully delivered and appropriate reviews conducted.
•Achieve and maintain Technical Authority status within discipline.
•Carry out appropriate discipline and inter discipline checks and reviews of engineering and design work.
•“Responsible Engineer” (technical focal point) for Material related scope before and after purchase order, liaising with the vendor, other disciplines, Project Services and Contracting & Procurement to ensure materials related requirements are incorporated into the specification, cost and schedule.
•Remain engaged in design issues and decisions throughout construction, commissioning and start-up.
•Capture/apply internal and external learning, including HSE improvements.
•Deliver continuously improving performance, benchmarked as top tier in the industry.
• Ensure the quality of technical work and the technical integrity, constructability, functionality, safe operation and reliability of designs.
•Contribute to excellent HSE performance throughout the engineering phase of the project life cycle
•Time write on a weekly basis

• Many projects are executed in remote locations in various countries. Maintaining a good relationship with the client is critical to the success of the (design) project and may require visits to the site and/or client office.
• Be a team player where recognition of team performance as a whole is a greater priority than projecting individual contribution.
•Demonstrate repeatability and constant improvement in projects across a broad range of geographic, technical and cultural differences.
•Develop / share best practices, work processes, system and tools, based on experience gained in a portfolio of independent projects.
•Help develop a truly global Engineering, Design and Project delivery skill pool that effectively leverages knowledge and develops people across multiple regions amongst competing priorities.
•Be able to work in a team environment and handle multiple project responsibilities.
•Assuring that work and project promises are successfully delivered and appropriate reviews have been conducted.
•Be aware of and help establish/adopt new technology.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Significant/substantial discipline engineering experience in the oil and gas industry
•Engineering degree or equivalent
•Member, or working towards membership, of a relevant professional institution
•In depth familiarity with a wide variety of the discipline's concepts, practices, and procedures.
•Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
•Performs a variety of tasks.
•Leads and directs the work of others.
•Provides expert consultation in one or more areas for the design, development and implementation of technical products and systems.
