The Role:
Responsibilities:
• Provide recommendations for corrosion control and material selection for upstream wells, subsea, pipelines, Management of Change (MOC), and capital projects
• Provide technical support to Process Engineers, PEI Engineers, and PEI Inspectors for day-to-day problem solving activities
• Provide welding and NDE consultancy for major pipeline and subsea projects
• Materials selection, qualification, testing in HPHT environments
• Excellent knowledge of oil production hardware and pipelines
• Some design exposure to pipelines
• Participate in analysis of pressure equipment related failures
• Conduct material failure analyses and coordinate formal analysis activities with Projects and Technology
• Develop optimized inspection strategies specific to the pipelines and equipment and process conditions
• Participate in corrosion reviews and risk assessments to assure project and operational technical integrity
• Develop work processes and tools to help manage the overall corrosion control program
Requirements:
• Bachelor / Master of Science degree in Corrosion Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or Materials Science is required
• Minimum of five (10) years of corrosion, welding and materials experience
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Self-starter who can set own goals and works well in a team environment
