The Role:
The purpose of the position is to provide materials logistical support in the receipt and issuance of materials.

The Materials Expediter shall primarily be responsible for coordination of materials storage and delivery to the relevant sites whether on or off shore.

Key Accountabilities
Materials Receipt
Ensure proper supporting documentation is received with materials (Mill Certs,Certificates Of Conformance etc.)
Ensure materials’compliance with the client's Standards
Ensure proper coordination is achieved between suppliers, FDSAL and the Construction team
Ensure communication wrt materials receipt in a timely manner as required per installation schedule.

Materials Storage
Ensure materials are securely stored to protect against damage and detoriation within required warehousing
Ensure materials are systematically stored to allow for easy identification and access.

Materials Issuance
Ensure when materials are issued it is accompanied with the relevant certification of conformity
Ensures when materials are issued,they are bagged and tagged as per requirements.

Data Management
Ensure accurate supporting documentation filing
Ensure transmittals are supplied for full traceability when materials are received and distributed for shipping.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) - at least currently pursuing or preferably a Level 4.

Preferably a Supply Management or Logisitics Diploma

Significant experience in working in the oil and gas sector

Experience in working in the industrial construction field with materials specifications knowledge

Ability to work remotely unsupervised

Ability to work as part of a team as well as being able to be a self starter

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to communicate with personnel at a managerial level

Able to work with deadlines and possess a proven track record of delivering required projects in a timely and professional manner.
