The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
A new opportunity has arisen for a Materials Expeditor to be based in Perth on a contract basis. The role is a 7 month contract starting 1st October 2015 through to April 2016.

The role will provide expert expediting services of procured Project equipment and materials in support of Project fabrication, construction and commissioning activities

The role will be responsible for the following:
• Analysing purchase order documents to understand contractual commitments for delivery.
• Proactively engaging with suppliers, customers and other internal service providers (i.e. logistics, quarantine, engineering, quality, etc) to ensure best possible delivery of goods in support of Project schedule.
• Monitoring changes in delivery status and required on site requirements and proactively informing suppliers, customers and other internal service providers to ensure a clear and transparent understanding of the delivery status of the goods.
• Under general supervision, solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry material expediting best practices.
• Uses experience and problem solving skills to develop and improve processes.
• May provide guidance to less experienced team members. Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 5+ years of experience.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education:
Undergraduate degree or similar work experience related to supply chain management.

Experience:
Circa 10 Years plus Oil & Gas project experience. Experienced use of an integrated project management system (in expediting function).

Skills: Microsoft Office, i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.

Personal Attributes:
Must be able to handle a significantly high work load in a high paced Project environment.
Must be able to influence external groups to ensure priority materials are moved in the desired timeframe.
Must have LNG Plant material and material control knowledge.
Must be able to effectively and efficiently manage multiple high priority critical path items. Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and in writing) and be able to communicate to senior management level on a daily basis.
Must be a team player.
Must be self-motivated and able to work under own initiative.
Attention to detail is a must.
