The Company:
Our major Oil & Gas Client is in need of a Materials Lead in Houston, Texas.

The Role:
The Materials Lead will be responsible for timely and efficient development, deployment and sustainment of material data including, but not limited to, Material Registers, Price Books, Inventory, and Data Enrichment and analysis.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Timely execution of materials development and enrichment
• Effective quality control of materials data
• Identify opportunities for improvement of quality of data
• Maintain consistency of data
• Must be able to work well with personnel to gather and input data efficiently and without delay to help meet requirements and maintain compliance
• Work with site personnel on data development and system functionality
• Assist site personnel to resolve users’ issues
• Must proficiently complete data request tickets
• Ability to prioritize and allocate work load effectively

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience & Knowledge

• Extensive knowledge of Supply Chain Management
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel principles
• Extensive knowledge of parts and materials/inventory
• Basic understanding of maintenance equipment, specifications and classifications
• Basic understanding of inventory management

Skills & Behavior


• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Capability to relate easily to people from all levels in organization from senior management through to Site Administrator
• Ability to maintain effective relationships with key people, taking time to get to know and understand them and to gain their trust and respect
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain the resolution of system issues in a clear and concise manner
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Self-motivated
• Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
