The Role:

The Materials Manager is a key project role in the project team who oversees the movement of goods between the various project's departments inclusive of both pipelines and facilities scopes. The Materials Manager also oversees the flow of materials between distributors, fabricators, suppliers, storage facilities and between sites. The Materials Manager is expected to recommend business decisions based on assessment of site demand, inventory levels, work progress reports and other efficiency indicators and will work with less experienced members of the team to develop their capabilities and ensure delivery of responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities:

* Manages and expedites flow of materials, equipment, parts, and assemblies between internal and external departments and sites, according to delivery and shipping schedules and project priorities, and compiles and maintains computerized records.
* Reviews delivery schedules and related information and confers with site supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material. Proactively takes intervention when required.
* Manages requisitions for materials and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability.
* Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.
* Arranges transfer of materials to meet delivery schedules and ensures accurate record-keeping.
* Computes amount of material required to complete job orders, applying knowledge of industry processes.
* Oversees and ensures the compilation and maintenance manual or computerized records, such as material inventory, delivery, shipping and storage reports, and status and location of materials.
* Monitor and oversee the transport of materials from one department to another.
* Manages and ensures arrangement for repair and/or assembly of company-provided materials, equipment or parts.
* Any additional activities as directed by the Project Manager and Site Manager required to support delivery.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Professional Experience & Education:
* University diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum 15 years work experience in materials management.
* Work experience in Oil & Gas, Business Corporation, and/or International Organizations.
* General knowledge of industry equipment and materials with ability to positively identify components.
* Knowledgeable of quality control systems and procedures.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access or equivalent programs.
* Fluent in English. Ability to speak Russian or Turkish is preferred but not required.

* Team player, customer oriented, communicative, positive 'can do attitude', disciplined and organized.
* Strong time management and planning; Effective report writing and file/document management.
* Strong personal safety culture and ability to work independently without excessive supervision.
* Experience in leading a team and in the development of other individuals.
* Experience of successfully operating in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

* Encourages openness and transparency; demonstrates highest levels of integrity.
