The Role:
The role is responsible for the standard global Materials Management Common Process (MMcp) and MM Systems Design & assurance activities that covers all MM Upstream activity for Demand Planning, Coordination, Warehousing, Inbound Logistics and Inventory Management. This role will support the MMcp Process and Oversight Team Lead to oversee governance of the MMcp through the Community of Practice and Integrated Governance Board. This role is instrumental in leading the process change from a non-standard Materials Management processes in the Regions and Operating Functions to a fully integrated, compliant and benefits bearing Global standard MM process. The role ensures that MM business process and requirements are translated in the systems and that the systems’ design meets business needs. Works closely with the Backbone IT&S team to address required process changes and additional critical business scope. Finally, the MMcp Process Specialist will ensure the self-verification process is compliant and the overall health of the MMcp process in PSCM and the Line.

• Deliver the single, standard design of the Upstream MMcp that is based on business requirements provided by the Operating and Technical Functions.
• Own specific section of MMcp process content across all operating functions.
• Accountable to vet, agree and prioritize requirements with the relevant governing bodies as required
• Define the relevant process documentation to support the MMcp including policies, procedures, guides, standard operating procedures and Aris maps.
• Involvement if all aspects of the process and system design including, process familiarization, requirements gathering, ‘Fit Gap Analysis’, conduct regional and OF impact assessments, support of MM Community of Practice (COP), sign off of the Functional Specifications, development of Global Job Roles, Business Test scenarios, Integration Testing and Process Training Materials.
• Ensure the self-verification process is in place and delivery expected results
• Assure the health of the process in PSCM and the Line, identify and agree gap closure plans where required
• Support the operating model to support the integration of Materials Management into Category Management, P2P, Finance, GOO, GPO and GWO.
• Upstream Process lead for the specific section of MM processes, MM solution within Backbone and Legacy process & system environments
• Support the PSCM function to be a high performing organization with a standard way of working; viewed as strategic and value adding, that attracts and retains high quality people

• Manage process development and approval, as appropriate, through the MM Community of Practice (Practitioners), the Integration Governance Board (IGB) and Backbone Design Authority Group
• Lead the implementation of relevant deliverables including reviews and progress update to relevant stakeholders
• Work closely with local content representatives and regional integrators to help drive compliance with standard MM processes and solutions while meeting their local legal or fiscal requirements
• Personally champion HSSE compliance and empower the team to do the same

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• University degree in Engineering, Procurement or equivalent technical/business discipline.
• Professional PSCM qualification (MCIPS) or equivalent desired
• Hands on experience of Materials Management Activities and Processes of MM Demand Planning, Coordination, Warehousing, Inbound Logistics and Inventory Management components
• Experience working in business process / business process engineering, process development and change management
• Appropriate working knowledge of Supply Chain Systems and ERP systems and software tools such as Excel, Access, Word etc.
• Previous work experience in multiple countries
• Working knowledge of SAP (MM / Procurement / Supply Chain modules)
• Demonstrates excellent communication and documentation skills
• Skilled at leading through complexity, executing projects in multi-stakeholder, multi-discipline, multi-cultural environments, with regional and country-specific issues and challenges
