The Company:
With interests in over 20 UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) fields, my Client has one of the most significant exploration and production businesses in the offshore waters of the UK.

The Role:
The Materials Operations Coordinator (MOC) will:

Coordinate the demand planning and fulfilment of daily materials supply in support of Operations, Drilling, Maintenance and Shutdown activity. This is primarily a planning and coordination role involving liaison across all internal and external stakeholders to ensure materials availability to meet operational needs.

Develop and maintain a first class materials supply operation for the offshore assets. Assist the Materials Manager in the development of high quality MM processes to support operations. Be the focal point for the coordination of all materials movements between supply locations and offshore assets.

Provide functional support, direction and guidance to the Offshore Materials Controllers (OMC). Work with the OMC’s and the offshore asset management team to develop working practices and procedures for each asset.

The Materials Operations Coordinator will report to the OE Materials Manager.

Key Accountabilities:

o Liaise with Asset Functional Teams, Project Teams and Contractors to fully understand forward activity programmes and equipment requirements
o Support the work of the OMC’s and provide guidance through coaching and training
o Implement the CompanyCore MM Guidelines and processes and develop local procedures to control the movement of materials at every stage in the supply chain
o Work with the functional and line teams to develop robust materials supply routines that are specifically designed to meet the individual needs of each asset or function
o Develop procedures and processes to control MM activity offshore, including development of an Offshore MM Procedures manual
o Agree a detailed RACI for each offshore asset
o Take responsibility for improving the control of inventory offshore by working with the OIM’s to develop a culture of care for materials on each platform
o Work with the Logistics and PSBS warehouse team to develop a seamless and coordinated operation for the receipt, verification and assembly of materials for despatch offshore
o Provide support to the C&P team by tracking materials to ensure that they are supplied against the agreed deadlines and are available from suppliers when required
o Develop good working relationships with key stakeholders to help drive a standardised approach to materials management
o Maintain records of the held inventory such that every item is visible and its status is always known
o Initially support the work of the Materials Specialist in conducting the inventory audits. Subsequently, manage cyclical stock counts ensuring that segregation of duty rules are followed and all resulting discrepancies are reconciled
o Identify and recommend for disposal items of inventory that become obsolete or BER
o Agree the goods receipt inspection process applying standards and procedures, to address; certification, traceability, positive material inspection and quarantine
o Control the return to inventory or disposal of excess materials from all offshore activity
o Manage the end-to-end disposals cycle including managing third parties engaged in these activities
o Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained in all warehouse and yard areas
o Ensure all records (electronic and paper) are maintained in accordance with company procedures and applicable legislation or guidelines
o Ensure that the MM operations comply with all Company HSSE and other regulatory requirements

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
o An experienced Oil and Gas materials manager
o Proven experience of successfully managing an operations team
o Experience of using Maximo/SAP or similar MRP systems
o A good understanding and working knowledge of supply chain systems and processes
o A good understanding of materials master data management
