The Company:
Our Client appears in the FTSE 100 index and is an international energy services company specializing in Oil and Gas and has annual revenues of over £2.6 billion. They believe that it is the people that drive their success, from Project Managers, Project Engineers, consultants to designers and commercial personnel. They work globally employing over 20,000 people on major operations including the UK

The Role:
• Point of contact for all Materials Master Data information.

• Maintain a regular dialogue with each asset.

• Act as the Specialist for Materials Master Data taking ownership of the strategy and ensuring adherence to its key principles.

• Support/QC of Bulk Data Cleansing/Cataloguing.

• Ad Hoc reporting and QC of the UK catalogue.

• Ownership of the Materials Master Data standard.

• Wider usage of material contracts, Automation of MRP / Auto-Pos.

• Maintain the Maximo materials database content (currently 22,039 items).

• Search in Maximo catalogue for existing items to ensure that duplicate items are not added to the database.

• Liaise with Technical Authorities, Offshore personnel and vendors etc as required to ensure that the descriptions are suitable, accurate and meaningful to all key stakeholders.

• Conduct all activities in accordance with Client policies, procedures and business ethics.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Higher education or equivalent.
• Drilling materials experience would also be a distinct advantage.
• A practical hands on materials control background would be an advantage together with an understanding of oil and gas industry equipment specifications and standards. Drilling materials experience would also be a distinct advantage.
• Significant experience in similar role.
• Signifiicant experience in oil and gas industry.
• Technically competent cataloguer.
• Good level of influencing and communication skills.
• Good level of relationship skills Able to work on own initiative and have detailed experience.
