An international EPC Company involved in LNG and Mining Projects.

The Role:
MDR (MATERIALS DEVIATION REQUEST) ENGINEER – PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA - $$ ATTRACTIVE – 10 MONTH CONTRACT +
** AUSTRALIAN WORKING VISA OR RESIDENCY REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE **

The job:

• Assist with preparation of MDR (Materials Deviation Request) review procedure, incorporating processing of MDR’s by applicable Suppliers / Contractors,
progressive review by KJVG quality & engineering personnel, and final approval of Master MDR by Chevron
• Provision of statistics for preparation of MDR review schedule, and MDR tracking spreadsheet
• Ensure MDR reviews are conducted at Suppliers and Contractors to verify progressive compilation in accordance with PO /
Contract requirements
• Liaise with Package Engineers & Project Managers to facilitate required engineering review of MDR’s, and complete
combined approval of compliant MDR’s
• Participate in KJVG PO / Contract MDR status meetings, and where applicable organise review of KJVG approved MDR’s
with Chevron quality group
• Where applicable liaise with technical services group personnel regarding quality requirements (Welding Engineers, Coating
Consultant, NDT Cross-Checkers, etc.)
• Monitor and follow-up outstanding non-conformances and concession requests in relation to applicable PO / Contract MDR’s

Essential / Critical requirements of this role:

• Comprehensive understanding of QA/QC requirements for Supplier / Contractor documentation (MDR’s) on oil and gas
related construction projects
• Good understanding of inspection requirements associated with oil & gas related construction projects
• Working knowledge of local & international codes and standards related to oil & gas related construction projects
• Proactive approach to resolving quality issues, and effective communication & reporting skills
• Basic computing skills and working knowledge of MS Office Word/Excel
• Candidate shall be comfortable working in a team environment and shall display confidence in representing the Client when
interfacing with Suppliers / Contractors
