We are currently looking for an experienced Measurement Reader for the client location as part of our project resource play. Our client has reached a definitive agreement to purchase assets in the core of the project formation in Texas in a transaction valued at $3.5 billion. With these assets, the client has the potential to book up to 100 million boe of proved reserves by the end of 2011. In addition, production is expected to increase to approximately 80,000 net boe per day by 2016 with the expectation to drill 250 – 300 wells per year over the next five to eight years. This acquisition establishes client position in the highest value oil and condensate core area of the project.

Overview
This position will report to the Production Superintendent located in the project location office. The Measurement Reader is responsible for working with existing measurement personnel to insuring complete compliance with client’s gas measurement policy in assigned operating areas. Must have ability to work independently in a fast paced environment and possess excellent organization, written and communication skills. Must have ability to work some weekends and be on call.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement check meter calibration programs as needed and perform calibrations per schedule.
Develop and implement sales meter calibration witnessing programs as needed and witness 100% meter calibrations per schedule.
Obtain necessary gas samples and maintain associated sampling or analysis equipment.
Accountable for the day-to-day installation, maintenance and repair of measurement equipment.
Regularly review orifice meter plate sizes and make changes as required.
Review and resolution of system balances.

Major:
Computer Proficiencies: Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in Word and Excel a plus.
Certifications: None required.
Work Experience: Five (5) – Seven (7) years of gas production or gas measurement experience a plus.
