The Company:
Our client is committed to maximising the exploration and production potential in the North Sea. With interests in more than 20 UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) fields, they are one of the most significant exploration and production businesses in the North Sea.

The Role:
The role reports directly to the Maintenance Manager, who is accountable for in role performance and development.

• The role is accountable for all mechanical and Static equipment.
• Custodian of mechanical and Static equipment engineering activities, integrity and quality.
• Ensure physical assets are “fit for purpose” and maintain design intent over full life cycle.
• Definition and embedment of effective mechanical and Static equipment engineering processes and written schemes of examination.
• Assurance that all mechanical and Static equipment policies and procedures comply with Group standards and industry, legislative practices.
• Provide input to and feedback on implementation of client Group Standards.
• Promote and develop a safety and environmental awareness culture.
• Proactive contribution to development and execution of maintenance strategy e.g. developments in maintenance optimisation, industry best practice.
• Priorities within defined scope and work programme.
• Contributes to functional management reviews
• Expected to make recommendations to maintain and improve asset integrity activities.
• Technical expert with an ability to provide technical leadership skills
• Proficient in the application of functional assurance processes.
• Ability to analyse problems, assess risk profile, determine action, and develop solutions, communicating intentions and progress to all levels.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent preferred.
• Strong engineering and maintenance experience in an upstream business.
• Adept at working in a matrix structure.
• Track record of demonstrating success at delivering against asset integrity plans.
• Experience of working across multiple platforms (operated and non-operated) and successfully influencing partners to improve performance and change work practices.
