The Role:
An opportunity to work on a multidisciplinary team toward the development and sustaining of complex electromechanical oilfield devices. Expertise and results evidenced by long periods of continuous tenure with employers A sincere desire to be a Designer – this is the job we are hiring for. We have no plans for this person to become an engineer or a team leader. Mechanical aptitude – evidenced by work on machine design rather than wiring and electrical panels. MUST BE proficient on Creo 2.0 or higher CAD software, 5000 hours of ProE and/or Creo Parametric experience is considered a MINIMUM. A minimum of five years on-the-job experience in mechanical computer aided design/drafting (CAD) system. High school graduate with two-year technical school certificate in mechanical drafting/design or equivalent preferred. Main duties Generate subassembly-level concept designs with appropriate supervision from a project engineer, within the framework defined by the product design restrictions (size, materials, packaging, etc.). Generate medium-complexity detailed designs based on layouts, sketches, 3D models, or verbal instruction, and with occasional supervision from the project engineer. Generate and maintain medium-complexity engineering product file content (from top level to piece parts), including CAD models, drawings, BOMs, design layouts, specifications, assembly instructions and PDMS records. Release engineering product files through Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and addresses Engineering Change Requests (ECRs). Key skills and performance factors Possesses an understanding of machined part manufacturing processes and techniques. Functional use of techniques such as tolerance analyses and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Complete understanding of relevant industry standards (ISO, ANSI, ASME), and ability to quickly gain sufficient understanding of procedures and specifications and relevant industry standards (ISO, ANSI, ASME) to performs duties in accordance with these standards. Estimates, completes, and provides accurate status reports on his/her own tasks derived from engineering instruction, such that project timelines are met on a consistent basis. Produces work of acceptable quality (clarity, completeness, correctness, sustainability) with minimal oversight.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1) A sincere desire to be a Designer for their entire career (not looking to be an engineer).
2) Expertise and results evidenced by long periods of continuous tenure with employers
3) Mechanical aptitude – evidenced by machine design experience or personal hobbies
4) Recent experience AND expertise in Creo Parametric (not the same as long experience)
5) Being a joy to work with as a team member
6) Having a sense of responsibility and ownership
7) Long experience and expertise in ProEngineer and/or Creo Parametric Education Requirements: High school graduate with two-year technical school certificate in mechanical drafting/design or equivalent Positions starts ASAP
