The Company:
A major Oil and Gas Operator for an Offshore project.
The position will be based in Paris area, then on FPSO contractor Conversion Yard (rotation between Singapore and Indonesia) and finally rotation offshore in Angola

The Role:
The service holder supervises the EPCC Contractor activities linked to the Mechanical Commissioning of the FPSO (Topside, Hull and Turret) during the Preparation and Execution Phases.
The service holder reports to the FPSO Commissioning Site Leader.
The service holder is also accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behaviour with regard to H3SE rules & requirements and for implementing H3SE rules within his area of responsibility.

ACTIVITIES - During the FPSO Detailed Engineering and Commissioning Preparation Phase
1.To follow-up the preparation of Pre-commissioning and Commissioning, ensuring that Company requirements are fulfilled within Contractor's standards, in accordance with the principles of OPERCOM methodology.
2. To provide assistance to the FPSO EPCC Contractor during the detailed preparation of the Commissioning including a review of planning and organisational requirements, in order to optimise the schedule by maximising the onshore Commissioning thus keeping offshore Commissioning activities to a minimum.
3.To review and comment the preparation of Mechanical Commissioning procedures, including (ICAPS) Pre-commissioning status index and the Commissioning technical database, the handover dossiers, certification, punch list control, planning, deliverables and in particular the preparation of Operational Tests
4. To assist the commissioning engineers to follow-up piping activities, including monitoring of hydro-tests and organization of final leak tests.
5. To attend Factory Acceptance Tests for main Mechanical equipment, and to support the Mechanical engineering team.

ACTIVITIES - During the FPSO Commissioning Execution Onshore and Offshore
6. To promote safety within the Commissioning activities and verify that safety procedures and permit to work systems are implemented by the EPSCC Contractor Commissioning Team
7. To witness the Pre-commissioning activities performed by the FPSO Contractor and to ensure that the Mechanical systems have reached the ready for Commissioning status with the associated punch list
8. To witness the execution of Commissioning and in particular to validate the results of the operational tests, and to ensure that the Mechanical systems have reached the Achievement of Commissioning status with the associated punch list
9. To check that adequate care and maintenance/preservation of equipment are being carried out throughout the Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
10. To supervise the reporting of Commissioning execution of Mechanical systems to ensure that all technical, contractual and cost information is properly recorded, collected and available for inspection and reference
11. To liaise with and support the Commissioning Engineers and the start-up team in order to ensure a coordinated witnessing and approval of commissioning activities of the FPSO.
12. To follow up/report discipline progress and punch list clearance
13. To supervise the schedule of Commissioning of Mechanical systems in order to reach the planned end date.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Professional Experience (years): +/- 20
Experience in similar position (years): +/- 10
Level / Diploma: Engineer, or equivalent.
Languages: English mandatory

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Usually, Projects have a Mechanical / Piping service and a Mechanical / Rotating Machinery service.
For the Project, the Mechanical Commissioning Superintendence service covers both: so the profile to be found is a profile able to follow-up the rotating machinery but also the piping, in addition to all other mechanical equipment (pumps, motors, cranes, etc…).
