The Company:
Our Major O&G Client has a Mechanical Technician role open in Ingleside, Texas. Working hours are 12 hrs/day, 7 days/wk with a break after 3 weeks. Resumes are being requested right away!

The Role:
• Directs the commissioning team in the commissioning of all piping and rotating equipment throughout the rig.
• Liaisons the daily activities of mechanical commissioning to the Mechanical Commissioning Lead.
• Is the permit to work issuing authority for daily and weekly permits.
• Direct contact and interactions with construction contractor and third party vendor representation.
• Direct contact with the Guidance of Certification coordinators to ensure documentation is in accordance with company policy.
• Instructs the procurement coordinator on requirements for commissioning material.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure all company and contractor safety policies are adhered to by commissioning team.
• Leads the mechanical commissioning on all relevant system walkdowns.
• Responsible for the documentation and tracking of punchlist items gathered during system turnovers.
• Daily upkeep of the HCP’s pertaining to mechanical systems.
• Close out of on going punchlist items.
• ITR’s and check sheets are kept up to date on a daily basis.
• Reviews and understands all mechanical commissioning procedures.
• Responsible for tiger team’s guidance and performance in the field.
• Witness relevant mechanical systems hydrotest’s
• Responsible for the implementation of LOTO procedure.
• Activates the daily mechanical permits to work.
• Writes the JSEA’s that pertain to the mechanical permits,, and ensures all personnel that are active in the work, have read and agreed and signed.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must be submitted by August 4, 2011 by close of business.
