The Company:
Our client is one of the world's largest integrated energy companies conducting business in countries all around the globe. They are engaged in every aspect of the crude oil & natural gas industry, including exploration & production, manufacturing, marketing & transportation, chemicals manufacturing & sales, geothermal, power generation, renewables & advanced technologies.

The Role:
Hands-on Mechanical Construction Supervisor with some Commissioning experience:

To define, lead and direct studies and projects related to the construction strategies,
To provide construction engineering input in the evaluation and concept selection activities
Demonstrable experience in pre-execution project definition phases e.g. screening, technical-economic feasibility and concept selection studies;
Project management skills to include planning, and costing;
Recognise the key technical details to be addressed for a successful construction strategy while maintaining a high level perspective of the overall project
Capability to manage teams of experts
Good negotiation and interpersonal skills to facilitate liaison between various stakeholder groups and departments within the Project;

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that adequate technical definition and cost estimate are provided for the evaluation of the proposed concepts
• Ensuring that proposed development concepts are robust in term of constructability
• Building and Maintaining a database of construction capabilities and skills available
• Ensuring that all opportunities and risks related to construction are properly evaluated and managed
• Maintaining interface and communication to monitor the evolution of construction activities and ensuring that lessons learned are capitalised.
• Addressing the impact of SIMOPS and HSE issues on construction activities and programs.
• Execution and completion of construction and project implementation studies in accordance with the approved Development Programme and Budget;
• Complying with Project Procedures and Policies for the execution of the studies and projects;
• Managing the day to day progress of the studies and projects operations ensuring that budget and allocated resources are utilised in the most efficient and effective;

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
10 years experience in the Petrochemical Industry

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
BSc in an Engineering related discipline
