The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with mechanical/electromechanical design experience in 3D modeling and 2D drawings.
The work will also include areas such as: creating and maintaining Materials Master in SAP, implementing Design Change Requests (DCR), testing a number of product development concepts, etc.

• Working in a multi discipline product design team. (Support Mechanical Design)
• Assist Engineers and Scientists to get product designs into a form that can be promoted to manufacturing. This will include 3D modeling, detailed 2D drawing, SAP data entry and production of test schedules (based on details given by Engineers & Scientists)
• Implement Design Change Requests to correct/amend live products or add minor variants of existing product range
• Help project teams with testing of product design concepts both in the laboratory and on field trial sites
• Working in a multi-discipline product design team to assist in creation of water and/or gas analyzers
• Innovate own designs from specifications
• Work with suppliers to produce production quality components as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Fully competent in Solidsworks & AutoCAD software, MS Office
Practical hands on creative designer, able to generate design concepts from scratch
Good Knowledge of materials for industrial/scientific instrumentation product design
• Able to demonstrate attention to detail
• Self motivated, able to take the initiative
• Able to work in a multi discipline design team

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Familiar with SAP
Familiar with drawing office practices
