Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in many of worlds largest LNG Projects. The Role:
This position will be a key member of the LNG Plant Engineering Team that provides support for the project LNG Plant Project for completion of CPDEP Phase 3 (FEED) and Phase 4 (detailed design).
Reporting to the Deputy Engineering Manager - Yokohama Operating Center, who will be located in the Contractor's Yokohama office, the Lead Piping Engineer will be the senior piping discipline Company representative resident in the Contractor's Yokohama office and will supervise a piping engineer located in the Contractor's Calgary office. The Yokohama office will be responsible for delivery of the ISBL scope (LNG trains and pre-treatment)
Position is responsible for providing technical review of the Contractor's and vendors piping and layout deliverables for the entire LNG facility, and ensures compliance with project requirements including codes, standards and specifications.
Provides engineering input in the area of Piping Design, Plant Layout, Piping Engineering (i.e. technical review of piping requisitions, piping line classes, etc) and Multi-Office Work share.
Responsible for managing all aspects of Contractors Piping scope of work including but not limited to Canadian codes and standards compliance, technical support, Model Reviews of piping and equipment layout to ensure Company Safety in Design, Operability, Maintainability and Constructability objectives are met,
Management of Change, Interfaces. An understanding of SP3D and the associated work processes is critical. Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced civil engineers.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree qualified engineer with minimum of 15 years broad demonstrated experience with plant layout, piping design and the operation of piping systems with strong knowledge of piping material, piping line classes, piping components and valve Codes/Standards.
Proficient with industry and Company standards, specifications, and guidelines.
Must be able to effectively provide technical responses to Contractor queries, manage all aspects of detailed design, module design and construction, facilitate progress of deliverables and schedule and provide assistance with close-out and turnover.
Major capital project experience required on a LNG plant project or in fabrication yards is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work in multi-discipline teams, including contractors and vendors, through detailed design and fabrication.
Demonstrated leadership and organizational ability, and able to effectively balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced Project environment
