The Company:
Our client is a nuclear specialist, covering both civilian and defence sectors, across the complete lifecycle from New Build, through Operations and Maintenance, to final decommissioning and waste disposal.

The Role:
Main purpose of job

To provide a design and engineering service to internal and external customers.

Position in organisation and key relationships
Reports to Lead Engineer or Senior Engineer.
Responsible for managing quality, progress and cost of the work carried out within a discrete package of work within a project.
Interacts with engineers of other engineering disciplines internally and externally.
Supervises support staff (e.g. Designer).

Personal Profile - Experience

Essential : Preferably in a design and project management environment in a high technology industry

Personal Profile – Capability/Competency levels required

Essential: Use of AutoCAD and/or Inventor, Systematic, methodical and quality driven. Working to tight deadlines and a strong team player.
Desirable: Experience in a supervisory capacity.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential: A recognised Engineering Certificate such as HNC/HND/Degree.
A full UK driver’s license.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Nuclear experience or a regulated industry. This could be Defence, Pharmaceuticals, Oil & Gas, Automotive, Water of Food
