The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
The Mechanical Discipline Lead / Auditor is positioned within the Downstream QA team for a major multi billion dollar LNG project now in fabrication and construction phases.

Responsibilities include:

QA surveillance of contractors adherence to contractual (procedures, specifications) requirements of mechanical equipment at various facilities.
Ensures that the Project’s requirements, as detailed in the Technical Specifications, for all rotating / static equipment are met
Provide overall mechanical equipment technical expertise and coordinate the project engineering team member’s involvement in the rotating equipment activities including interaction with the EPCM contractor’s rotating equipment personnel.
Provide Quality Control support for any / all rotating equipment purchase orders as required and coordinated through Procurement including temporary site assignments joining specific project teams temporarily.
Prepare and submit weekly activity information including narratives, charts, graphs, pictures etc. on rotating equipment to the project Lead rotating Package Engineers as applicable.
Verify that the mechanical rotating equipment if at a site before or after installation satisfies Project preservation requirements consistent with a reporting log verifying the preservation.
Support the requirements of verifying Company Quality Assurance in regards to implementation of a seamless Turnover / completions / commissioning activity.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education: HND Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Experience: Extensive experience in the oil and gas industry fully conversant with applicable API and BS rotating equipment standards.
Skills: Technical mechanical experience, computer literate with a high level of technical report writing. The ability to train and mentor personnel in auditing and Mechanical discipline skill sets is required. Self motivated, possess good communication skills, leadership, teamwork.
