The Company:
Our client is a leading global oil and gas operating company.

The Role:
Mechanical Engineer - 6 month contract
Schedule: 2 weeks on/2 weeks off

This specific role is to support the corrosion insulation program by generating Engineered line lifts for the line lift crew to execute. Visit with the line lift foreman, generate an AutoPIPE stress model and create a two page line lift document which is issued to the line lift crew for execution. Key elements of the line lift plan include lift jack locations and loadings, general instructions, a drawing and any other relevant details.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Mechanical Engineering degree required. Alaska PE registration preferred.
* 5 - 7 years of experience with pipe stress analysis programs, evaluating piping systems for sustained, thermal and occasional load analyses, and the application of external loads and displacements.
* Knowledge of piping codes.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Capable of reading design drawings and create pipe stress models.
* Knowledgeable of piping material specifications, including valve, flange and component ratings.
* Experienced with Barlow formula calculations, and application of pipe stress equations applicable to the appropriate piping code.
* Familiarity with AutoPipe.
