The Role:
Delivering a high level of Mechanical Engineering support to ensure that safe and reliable operations are maintained. Heavy bias towards offshore and site attendance in order to audit and review maintenance activity.
Key Responsibilities;
• Ability to diagnose mechanical faults in a systematic and methodical way in order to rectify operational issues and equipment faults
• Carry out equipment failure and incident investigations in order to identify root causes
• Specification, maintenance and fault finding of valves and actuators for a variety of services including EDSV’s and general process control
• Maintenance of HVAC systems and their components such as inlet/outlet dampers
• Design maintenance and fault finding of hydraulic systems and their components including accumulators, regulators, PSV’s and solenoid valves
• Specification, maintenance and fault finding of reciprocating diesel and gas driven engines for power generation systems in addition to their ancillary equipment
• Ability to generate and review technical specifications and design proposal documents in addition to the ability to read technical drawings
• Specification, maintenance and fault finding of a variety of pumps including positive displacement, progressive cavity, centrifugal and diaphragm types
• Maintenance, specification & fault finding of air compressors
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The Individual will ideally be a Chartered Engineer and member of an appropriate institution or have relevant experience in the offshore industry.
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Working knowledge of applicable legislation to the mechanical discipline such as PFEER & ATEX
