Our Client's fabrication capabilities providing quality fabrication, site services, and vessel mobilisations to the Subsea and Marine Industries
The site offers large undercover fabrication and painting halls, external fabrication capability and quayside frontage.

The Role:
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer for our Client based in Teesside.

• Ensure that the work is carried out in the most productive and cost effective manner
• Ensure site / plant priorities are addressed in a timely manner
• Maintain the highest standards of Health and Safety, Environmental Performance and Industrial Relations
• Ensure performance and competency issues are highlighted / addressed
• Ensure individual pro-activity within team members
• Generate and maintain a culture of Continuous Improvement within team members
• Supervise team members in an effective and professional manner
• Ensure adherence to company / site procedures, work processes, drawings / specifications and work order requirements
• Ensure compliance to appropriate BS and EN standards
• Support company / site initiatives as required

Productivity
• Ensure the required standard of workmanship and productivity is achieved
• Review and update job packs / technical information as required to ensure increased safety and productivity
• Ensure that activities are carried out in a the most productive manner
• Identify rework situations to Trade Co-ordinator
• Identify all productivity and development issues tot eh Trade Co-ordinator
• Ensure the optimum utilization of working hours
• Support and supervisor sub-contractor activities as required
• Undertake trade work as required

Pro-activity
• Lead by example in encouraging team work, flexibility and a culture of continuous improvement
• Assist with the site performance metrics
• Support the development of the planning process as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Must be degree qualified
The ideal candidate should have a strong design background and be able to carry out manual calculations.
Previous experience using Inventor and other relevant software package.
Minimum of 3-5 years experience
Basic computer skills
